Brethren and Guest,
Summer is coming to an end and life will begin to slow its pace for many of us as the holidays near. The remainder of the year will be very interesting. We will have a program that includes some of the biggest names in the “Old West” in September. The bagpipers will join us again in October for a very impressive show to honor our Past Masters. We will honor our veterans in November and elections will tie up the year in December.
At this time I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of the members for the support and encouragement I have received throughout the first half of the year. I’m sure I can count on the same for the final stretch. There have been a few minor hiccups along the way such as my “pants-less” June meeting. I never imagined that being Master could humble a man the way it has humbled me. I’ve learned the true purpose of holding that office is to serve the members. It has been with great honor that I hope to have done just that.
Before we know it there will be a new face in the East and I’ll join the wise and noble Past Masters on the sidelines. I too will get to look on as the next Brother stands before us and serves us to the best of his ability. Without a doubt I hope to be as much help to that man as you all have been to me. I truly am proud to be Worshipful Master of Juniata Lodge. Thank you, each and every person I call BROTHER!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
